FMera, a significant new media installation, was developed and presented with the support of an Arts Queensland Major Grant awarded in March, 2004.

The installation features large mixed media drawings on gesso panel or heavy kraft paper, paralleled by projected light imagery and an interactive video/sound work.

Eleven mixed media drawings highlight beautiful objects of communication discarded through time.  A signatory use of text creates a silent dialogue between viewer and work.

Confronting video and sound present the impact of technology, prompting an introspective examination of current issues and future directions.  FMera suggests the phenomenal technological advances we have experienced whilst questioning our global direction, reminding us of the need to slow down and reflect.
